Ivy Tech Community College is hosting commencement ceremonies for graduates across Indiana taking place May 3 through May 17. In addition to honoring the graduates, Ivy Tech will be awarding 24 honorary degrees celebrating their contributions to the College and community.
This year’s ceremonies and honorary degree recipients are as follows:
- Indianapolis location on May 3, 7:00 p.m. at the Indiana State Fair Coliseum. Honorary degree recipients are Rafael Sánchez, Rollin Dick, Cheryl Dick, and Chef Michel Bouit.
- Lafayette location on May 5, 2:00 p.m. at the Purdue University Elliott Hall of Music. Honorary degree recipients are Steve Shreckengast and Jerry Hendress.
- Terre Haute location on May 9, 7:00 p.m. at the Hulman Center. Honorary degree recipients are Mr. Ed and Mrs. Jo Ann Carmichael.
- South Bend/Elkhart location on May 10, 6:00 p.m. at Notre Dame University. Honorary degree recipient is Thomas G. Coley.
- Lawrenceburg location on May 10, 6:30 p.m. in the Lawrenceburg High School Gymnasium. Honorary degree recipients are Gary Moeller and Leigh Allen.
- Kokomo location on May 10, 6:00 p.m. at the Kokomo Event and Conference Center. Honorary degree recipient is Michael Fincher.
- Fort Wayne location on May 10, 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Coliseum.
- Evansville location on May 10, 7:00 p.m. CST at the Ford Center. Honorary degree recipient is Derrick Stewart.
- Bloomington location on May 10, 6:00 p.m. at the Indiana University Auditorium. Honorary degree recipients are Charlotte T. Zietlow and Lynn H. Coyne.
- Valparaiso, Michigan City, Lake County locations on May 11, 11 a.m. CST at Valparaiso University. Honorary degree recipient is Audra L. Peterson.
- Richmond location on May 11, 1:30 p.m. at Richmond High School’s Tiernan Center. Honorary degree recipients are Steve and George Mosey.
- Madison location on May 11, 11 a.m. at Hanover College. Honorary degree recipient is Nancy Sobeck.
- Columbus location on May 11, 10 a.m. at Columbus North High School. Honorary degree recipient is Stephen Pride.
- Sellersburg location on May 14, 6 p.m. at the Northside Christian Church in New Albany, Ind. Honorary degree recipient is Willis M. Charles.
- Anderson location on May 14, 7 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre. Honorary degree recipients are Mr. Jay Ricker and Mrs. Nancy Ricker.
- Muncie location on May 16, 7 p.m. at Ball State University’s Emens Auditorium. Honorary degree recipient is Kaye Whitehead.
- Marion location on May 17, 7 p.m. at Indiana Wesleyan University’s Phillippe Performing Arts Center. Honorary degree recipient is Bernadine Wallace.
