Ivy Tech Community College has been awarded the Web Marketing Association 2016 Webaward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development. Each of the competition’s participating websites were judged on design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation and content.
Ivy Tech Community College’s website had a total of 3.9 million users last year, 13.8 million sessions and 25 million page views. The most frequently trafficked page is the programs page; which details the over 150 programs for students to enroll at the college.
“In creating the layout of the new website, we were focused on usability and mobile-responsiveness, and wanted this to be the forefront of the design,” said Jeff Fanter, Senior Vice president of Student Experience, Communications and Marketing. “We wanted to be sure that we created a website that was not only inviting to prospective students, but one that was easy to navigate for current students, and provided the information they need.”
Founded in 1997, the Web Marketing Association has helped to set the standard for internet marketing, and is the producer of the WebAward Competition. The WebAward program has recognized the best websites in 96 industries and is the longest running website award competition. Ivy Tech’s website was recently revamped in July of 2015.
