INDIANAPOLIS – Ivy Tech Community College has selected Amanda Wilson as the college’s new Associate Vice President for Facilities Planning. She began her new position on March 2.
As Associate VP for Facilities Planning, Wilson will direct short and long-term facilities planning for the College through the Facilities and Design Committee, Regional Facilities Directors, Chancellors, Campus Presidents, Site Directors and the President’s Staff. She will also be responsible for the preparation of biennial capital budget requests and the plan improvement section of the biennial operating budget request to the Legislature.
In addition, Wilson will manage the processing of regional facility improvement requests, lease requests and new construction requests, as well as the monitoring of regional planning studies as they relate to space and facility needs.
Wilson most recently served as Senior Manager of Facilities for Interactive Intelligence where she managed more than 400,000 square feet of campus office space, including construction of a new site on campus. She was also responsible for the day to day operations of facilities and providing leadership to the Facility Operations Team.
Prior to her role at Interactive Intelligence, she served as Operations and Performance Manager at Cushman and Wakefield where she supported over 7 million square feet of office space across the U.S. providing leadership and strategic planning for the Move Add Change (MAC) department. She also provided guidance for facility staff to increase efficiency and deliver valuable services at an effective cost. She also held the role of Facilities Manager for Indiana prior to becoming Operations and Performance Manager.
Wilson has also served as Assistant Property Manager at Cassidy Turley/Colliers Turley Martin Tucker where she managed a portfolio of more than 1 million square feet consisting of office, medical, and retail.
She has been a member of BOMAs Emerging Leaders and Indy CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) since 2012. In 2012, she earned a Global Best Practices Award for Integrated Systems for Cushman and Wakefield.
Wilson earned her Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership and Design, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Organization Leadership from the University of Indianapolis. She is an Ivy Tech Community College graduate and earned her Associate Degree in Business Management.
