INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE) has approved Ivy Tech Community College to offer new degree, technical certificate and online offerings at multiple campus sites.

An Associate of Applied Science in Information Security has been approved as a new online degree option. In addition, the associate of applied science in information security will soon be offered in a traditional format at the college’s Fort Wayne, Terre Haute, Evansville, Sellersburg and Bloomington campuses.

A Technical Certificate in Information Security will also soon be available at the college’s Columbus, Fort Wayne, Terre Haute, Evansville, Sellersburg and Bloomington campuses.

The Associate of Applied Science in Information Security will prepare students to work in areas related to information assurance and computer security. The certificates are designed for students currently working in the computer industry to enhance their knowledge of information and network-related risks and their avoidance and resolution. Major employers include computer and data processing companies, wholesale and retail trade companies, universities and colleges, and federal, state, and local government agencies.

In addition, a certificate in data security will soon be offered at the college’s Fort Wayne, Terre Haute, Evansville, Sellersburg and Bloomington campuses.
