$3,000 Already Raised for Ivy Tech Student Scholarships for 4th Annual Thunder Run; Not Too Late to Register

NORTHEAST – With one week until the event, $3,000 in donations and sponsorships has already been collected for Ivy Tech’s Thunder Run this Saturday, Sept. 17 at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson, Ind. This fourth annual event will include trackside lunch and casino cash for participants.

It is not too late for individuals to register and take part in the fun while also supporting higher education student scholarships at Ivy Tech Community College. Registrations will be taken online through Sept. 15, and will also be taken in person Saturday at the event.

Saturday’s Schedule:

  • 10:30 a.m. Check-in
  • 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Trackside picnic
  • 12:30 p.m. Horse races scheduled to begin
  • 2 p.m. Enjoy your day at the track or casino!

Online pre-registration is encouraged at www.ivytech.edu/thunderrun. Indicate ‘Thunder Run’ in the ‘Use my gift for’ donation line.

Everyone is welcome! For just a $10 contribution per person to the Ivy Tech Foundation, participants receive a trackside picnic and a $10 casino voucher from Hoosier Park Racing and Casino (must have arm band to participate; must be 21 or older to enter the casino).
