Ivy Tech Names Recycled Art Show Award Winners

WABASH VALLEY – Ivy Tech Community College – Wabash Valley recently hosted its fourth annual Recycled Art Show at 8000 S. Education Drive, which recognized artists for their ability to use recycled materials to make something new. More than 50 entries were in competition, with awards given in three divisions: high school, amateur and professional. The Best of Show was won by Nicole Waldron, an Ivy Tech student who also won first place in the amateur division in the category 2D-Individual.

Second place: Alex Von Kelsheimer, South Vermillion High School
Third place: Karmyn Newburn, South Vermillion High School

In the category 3D-Individual
First place: Sarah Potter, Terre Haute North High School
Second place: Carson Seprodi, Terre Haute North High School
Third place: Brittany Ritchey, Terre Haute North High School

In the category 3D-Group
First place: Stomi Baker & Amber Kennedy, South Vermillion High School
Second place: Savannah Klinge & Michelle Pepelea, South Vermillion High School
Third place: Amanda Kelly & Brenna Jenkins, South Vermillion High School

AMATEUR DIVISION

The art show was sponsored by the School of Fine Arts and Design, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. South Vermillion, Terre Haute North and West Vigo participated in the High School division.
