LAFAYETTE – Ivy Tech Community College-Lafayette is offering grant-funded Certified Logistics Associate and Certified Logistics Technician training and certification. The cost of the course is funded by a High Growth and Emerging Industries job training grant authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The training is offered in conjunction with the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) for frontline transportation and logistics workers, operators and supervisors in factories, warehouses, distribution centers, and transport.
Certified Logistics Associate training begins May 4 and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm through May 18. Certified Logistics Technician training begins May 20 and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm through June 3. Classes are held in room 119 at the Ivy Tech Corporate Learning Center at 823 Park East Blvd. in Lafayette. Classes are led by an instructor and include e-learning computer modules. The course includes assessment and certification by MSSC.
