Ivy Tech, Indiana Pacers partner to offer scholarships

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers and Ivy Tech Community College have teamed to offer six exciting statewide scholarships to Ivy Tech. Each of the new $2,000 Champions’ Scholarships will be awarded in special halftime ceremonies at selected Pacers’ home games throughout the 2008-09 regular season.

Beginning November 1, 2008, any U.S. citizen with permanent residence in Indiana who is 18 years of age or older, can apply for one of the Champions’ Scholarships by completing the on-line application, available at www.Pacers.com or www.ivytech.edu.

At selected home games, a different Champions’ Scholarships award winner will be honored in a special halftime ceremony. Winners will also receive game tickets for their parents or spouse to attend the game and presentation. Scheduled Champions’ Scholarships announcement games are: November 28, December 30, January 30, February 25, April 3, and April 13.

Each person may submit only one application. All applications will be eligible for consideration to all scholarships which have not yet been announced, provided the form is completed prior to the application deadlines. Rules, submission deadlines, terms and conditions are available on the application page via both web sites.
